Kherson region will receive funds for shelters in kindergartens
The Cabinet of Ministers allocated almost a billion hryvnias for shelters in kindergartens — part of the funds will go to the Kherson region.
This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In total, it concerns over UAH 972 million for 18 projects in various regions of the country.
Besides Kherson, funds will also be directed to the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
It concerns creating safer conditions in kindergartens so that children can attend them even during air-raid alerts, the Ministry of Education and Science said.
Recall that, according to official data, in September last year 170 general secondary education institutions began classes attended by 50.6 thousand students. At the same time, in the Kherson region only six underground educational institutions are operating.
